This Privacy Policy outlines how Monostate AI (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Monostate”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information from users (“User”, “you”, “your”) of the Monostate AI Software (“Software”). By using the Software, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

Information Collection and Use

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and transparent manner while complying with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information we access from your Google/GitHub account:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Profile picture

Information from your Google/GitHub account that we store:

  • Email address

Personal information is stored for as long as your account in Software is active.

We collect this information in order to facilitate the specific functionalities of the Software, including:

  • Creating and disambiguating your account using your email address.
  • Enabling collaboration by allowing you to invite collaborators into workspaces or be invited into others’ workspaces using your email address.
  • Using the default profile picture on your Monostate account.
  • If you sign up to receive our news, offers, events or other initiatives, we will collect your email address and access your name to provide you with updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing hey@monostate.ai.

We do not share any information from your Google/GitHub accounts with any third parties.

We do not collect any non-personal information from sign-in service providers, such as Google and GitHub.

Non-personal information is collected to further enhance the Software’s functionality and user experience. Your data is accessed and used strictly in accordance with the functionalities you engage within the Software.

Third-Party Data Sharing and User Consent

To provide enhanced functionalities within the Monostate AI Software, we share certain data with third-party services. Specifically, user-uploaded datasets and logs are stored in databases, and cached in-memory on AWS EC2 instances.

When your pipelines or evaluations use third-party model providers, we share execution data with those providers, and it is handled according to their privacy policies.

Before sharing data with these third-party tools, we ensure to:

  • Clearly describe the nature of data being shared and purpose within our policy and UI.
  • Provide users the option to opt-out of data sharing at any time.
  • De-personalize data to ensure no personal information is shared.

Security and Data Storage

We prioritize the security of your information through robust data management and security protocols. Uploaded data is stored encrypted in our databases.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Access, use, storage, and sharing of Google user data are strictly limited to the functionality described in this policy and with your explicit consent.

Data Deletion Request

We will only retain your personal information for as long as we need it. We may keep data longer than necessary to meet legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements.

If you wish to have your data deleted from Monostate AI, please follow these steps:

  1. Email your request to hey@monostate.ai with subject “Data Deletion Request”, including your full name and associated email.
  2. Our support team will verify your identity.
  3. Once verified, you will receive an acknowledgment email with a confirmation number and status link.
  4. Use the link and confirmation number to track progress. A final confirmation will be sent upon completion.
